Payday Loan Scam Alert – 8-5-16

There have been some reported cases of potentially fraudulent activity involving unsolicited phone calls from payday lending companies with an offer for a preapproved loan. If you receive such a call and did not initiate a request with the company, you may be at risk. People receiving calls may be asked for their account and/or online or mobile banking password. This scam is not limited to HOPE members.

Be very careful when sharing any financial information with other companies. HOPE will never ask for your account number or password and you should not share them with anyone else. If you suspect your HOPE account has been targeted by this scam, contact your nearest HOPE branch or call our Member Services Center at 1-866-321-4673.
