Hope Credit Union to Expand Presence in the Mississippi Delta

June 25th, 2015

New Locations Opening Soon in Itta Bena and Moorhead

GREENWOOD, MS (June 25, 2015) – Hope Federal Credit Union (HOPE) announced plans to open two new Mississippi Delta locations in the fall of 2015. The full service branches, in Itta Bena and Moorhead, will offer a full range of development finance services, including checking and savings accounts, and personal, home and business loans. The facilities were donated by Regions Bank to the credit union’s sponsor, Hope Enterprise Corporation.

“This donation represents the next step in the great partnership we’ve forged with HOPE,” said Jimmy Brown, Regions Area President in North Mississippi. “HOPE will be an excellent addition to these communities, and we are delighted to be providing not just a physical location but also equipment and other support to help ensure their future success.”

“Since the opening of our Greenville office in 1994, HOPE has helped thousands of Delta entrepreneurs, homebuyers and families meet their financial needs,” said Bill Bynum, CEO of HOPE. “Regions Bank has been a long time and invaluable ally to HOPE. Their generous contributions of the facilities and financial support provide a tremendous boost to our efforts.” The Delta branches will increase to 24 the number of HOPE locations throughout Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi and Tennessee.

Starting immediately, HOPE staff will be available in the communities of Itta Bena and Moorhead to provide information, open accounts and take loan applications. Beginning August 26, HOPE will have staff available on site in the Regions Itta Bena and Moorhead branches. In October, the facilities will open as HOPE branches.
