Nigel Roberts

Nigel Roberts has been hired as HOPE’s Senior Vice President of Community and Economic Development.

Nigel Roberts currently serves as the Tennessee market Senior Vice-President, Community and Economic Development. He has over 25 years of experience in economic and community development, combined with a detailed knowledge of state and federal grant programs building sustainable communities. Some of his professional qualifications include being Director for the City of Birmingham’s Community Development Department, Planning and Community Development Director for the City of East Point, GA, and Senior Director of Community Development for the City of Mobile, AL. He also served five years as an Adjunct Instructor at Lawson State Community College.

Mr. Roberts received his Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Alabama A&M University and Master of Science Administration from Central Michigan University. He has a Professional Economic Development Finance Certification from The National Development Council, and he previously served The National Community Development Association as a Board Member, among several additional Boards and certifications.
